The VDI Automation Working Group invites all interested members to a tour of the SmartFactoryOWL of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lemgo.

The SmartFactoryOWL is the real-world laboratory for Industry 4.0 in East Westphalia-Lippe and offers companies and research institutions extensive insights into Industry 4.0 by means of its research and demonstration platform. It is also a test field for medium-sized businesses in East Westphalia-Lippe.

The tour of SmartFactoryOWL will be conducted based on the introductory impulse on the topic of “Technologies of the intelligent factory of the future.”

Questions are welcome and can also be discussed afterwards.

Agenda:

• Welcome and brief introduction to the Smart Factory, Ms. Heymann (10 minutes)
• Thematic impulse “Technologies of the intelligent factory of the future”, Ms. Heymann, research assistant at Fraunhofer IOSB-INA (approx. 20 minutes)
• Tour of SmartFactoryOWL based on this (approx. 60 minutes)
• Exchange on news within the working group
• Farewell and opportunity for exchange
