Lab Tour: Digitalization in Crafts
Lab Tour: Digitalization in Crafts

AI and digitalization have also arrived in the crafts sector. However, the crafts sector is heterogeneous and diverse – just like the possibilities for AI to facilitate improvements. Whether in the automatic generation of operational documents, the documentation of one’s own work, or for recording conditions on construction sites or in manufacturing – digitalization can provide support.
We present some solutions from the KiDiHa project, developed by Fraunhofer IOSB-INA:
- Intelligent Counter at Biere Bakery
- Automatic Quote Generation at Gerdesmeier Carpentry
- Detection of Cracks in Stone at Diwo Stonemasonry
- Digital Routing Slip for Wood Processing at Kramp&Kramp Restoration
- Digital Measurement at Vorwerk Stucco Plastering
Let us present solutions to you, discuss advantages and disadvantages, and generate ideas for your own AI application!
