Energy and resource optimization in factories

26. March | 13:0017:00

Industrial production holds great potential for saving electrical energy and thus achieving global climate goals. Processes such as lowering and lifting loads in high-bay warehouses, transporting material and goods, and thermal processes in production plants cause load peaks and high energy consumption in factories. Digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies can support factory operators in saving energy and conserving resources.

The Smart-E-Factory project, as one of the AI beacons for the environment, climate, nature, and resources funded by the BMUV, aims to develop solutions for factories, test them in the SmartFactoryOWL, and transfer the developed technologies to the industry.

At the conclusion of the three-year project, the consortium will present its results and set a highlight with exciting key notes from the industry at the closing event.
